Two minutes to midnight an alarm was transmitted for a multi unit apartment dwelling fire in the 3300 blk of Cedar Ave in Moosic. Penn Med 15 was first arriving confirming the working fire which activated the (SRN) Special Response Narrative filling out the balance of the 1st alarm. Initial crews were faced with heavy fire conditions on the 2nd division and in the common attic space. Due to the advanced fire conditions a 2nd alarm was transmitted as multiple lines were put into operation. All searches proved negative and the bulk of the fire was knocked down within 30 minutes. Crews spent nearly 2 hours overhauling the second floor and attic space. There were no injuries reported. Red Cross is assisting the 5 displaced occupants and a PSP Fire Marshall is due to be at the scene in the morning. All crews did an outstanding job stopping the forward progress of this fire!
